1. Who we are and how to contact us

TalontedLabs is an independent app development studio based in Australia. TalontedLabs is the studio behind this website and the Daybook concept.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers the TalontedLabs website at talontedlabs.com and Daybook test or release builds made available by TalontedLabs, unless a newer policy is provided with the app.

Services we rely on, including Cloudflare and Google Play where applicable, operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

3. Information the Daybook app handles

Daybook is designed as a local-first app. In current builds, content you create in it, including planner entries, tasks, notes, sticky notes, handwriting, reminders and expense records, is stored on your own device. TalontedLabs does not collect that content or send it to TalontedLabs servers by default. Current builds do not require a TalontedLabs account to use.

Cloud sync. Multi-device sync is planned but is not enabled. Before cloud sync is enabled, this policy will be updated to explain what is synced, where it is stored, how it is protected and what choices users have.

4. Information the website collects

The website is delivered through Cloudflare. To serve the site and protect it against abuse, standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps may be processed on our behalf.

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, enquiry category and message you submit. The form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate enquiries from automated abuse. Cloudflare may process technical and browser signals for that purpose.

The site does not run advertising or behavioural analytics profiling. It does not load Google Fonts or another third-party web font service. Typography is provided by fonts already available on the visitor's device.

5. How we use information

• To deliver, maintain and secure the website.
• To respond to enquiries you send through the contact form or by email.
• To diagnose and fix technical problems.
• To prevent spam, fraud and other abuse of the website.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

6. Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of service providers to run TalontedLabs. These may include Cloudflare for website hosting, content delivery, security, Turnstile and email delivery, and Google Play if Daybook is distributed through the Play Store. Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy arrangements.

7. Storage, security and retention

Daybook content in current local-first builds stays on the user's device unless the user takes an action outside the app to back up or transfer device data. Removing the app or clearing its local data may remove that content, subject to the behaviour of the device and operating system.

Website technical logs are retained according to the settings and retention periods of our hosting and security providers. Contact messages are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to respond to the enquiry, maintain business records or meet legal obligations.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including encrypted HTTPS connections and abuse protection on the contact form. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your privacy rights

Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles apply, you may have rights to request access to personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct inaccurate information. Regardless of whether those laws apply to a particular request, you can contact us and we will consider reasonable access, correction or deletion requests.

9. Children

Daybook is not directed at children under 16 and TalontedLabs does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so the matter can be reviewed and, where appropriate, the information removed.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will publish the revised version here and update the date at the top of the page.
